Where AI agents find a service business (and how Lobby helps)
Assistants that care about your business need a public surface they can fetch — a plain-text brief, and optionally structured tools on the page. Lobby already publishes both for every concierge. This page shows what those surfaces are, which community directories list them, and how to prepare before you submit.
Free plan includes a hosted page and llms.txt. No card needed.
Two surfaces, two jobs
Lead capture for people stays primary. Agent readability is the second story — same business facts, different interfaces.
llms.txt — a plain-text brief
A short, readable summary of who you are, what you offer, and how to reach you. Assistants that choose to fetch it get a clearer source than a brochure homepage full of layout chrome. It is not a ranking score, a badge, or a Google ranking factor — just a clearer brief when an assistant decides to read it.
WebMCP — optional structured tools
When you use the Lobby embed, the same concierge can register tools agents may call. WebMCP is early and still evolving; support varies by browser and agent. Do not treat it as universally available.
The tools the Lobby embed registers today:
ask_concierge— Anything a visitor could ask, answered inside your boundaries.get_business_info— Hours, location, contact, what you do.list_offerings— Your services, structured, so an agent can compare and pick.

What Lobby already publishes
You do not need a custom site rebuild to have public agent surfaces. When a concierge is live, Lobby publishes:

Hosted concierge + per-business brief
Each business gets lobby.host/c/{slug} for people, and lobby.host/c/{slug}/llms.txt for assistants.
Optional WebMCP on the embed
The same embed that shows the chat button can register structured tools for supporting agents. Nothing extra to install for the human widget path.

Placement list (community directories)
These are community indexes and curated lists — not official AI-lab directories. Listings change; acceptance is up to each maintainer. Submit Lobby’s public marketing surfaces first (lobby.host and lobby.host/llms.txt). Customer /c/ listings are optional and self-serve.
Each row is marked as a community directory. Skip any listing that is dead or paywalled.

How to prepare before you submit
Directories and maintainers will open what you send. Make it ready:
- Publish your concierge (the free plan is enough for a hosted page and llms.txt).
- Open your /c/{slug}/llms.txt and read it like an outsider — would this brief answer what you offer and how to start?
- Fill offerings and boundaries so the summary names real services, not brochure fluff.
- If you claim WebMCP in a listing, confirm the embed registers the tools on a page that loads the widget.
- Prefer Lobby marketing URLs first (lobby.host, lobby.host/llms.txt); add a customer /c/ only when that business wants to be listed.
What this does not do
- It does not improve Google rankings. llms.txt is a clearer brief for assistants that choose to read it — not a search ranking factor.
- It does not guarantee citations, referral volume, or placement in any assistant’s answers.
- It does not mean every browser or agent supports WebMCP today — the standard is early and evolving.
- Community directories change, close, or reject listings; track status off this site.
