Lobby

Setup

Set up Lobby in minutes — no rebuild

You don’t need a developer sprint. Decide how visitors meet your concierge, tell Lobby what you offer and what it must never claim, and go live. DNS and search rankings on your site stay put.

Get started freeSee it working

20 conversations a month, free. No card needed.

Two ways to run it. Use one or both.

These are not alternatives you must choose forever. Both come with every plan. They are the same concierge. Running both is normal.

Path 1

One script on your existing site

Paste a single script tag before </body> on the pages you want. A chat button appears. Visitors stay on your domain. Your DNS and search rankings do not change.

<script src="https://lobby.host/embed.js" data-agent="your-slug"></script>

Path 2

Hosted page at lobby.host/c/your-name

No site required. Publish a concierge page at lobby.host/c/your-slug. Structured for people and readable by AI assistants. Share the link in a bio, proposal, email signature, or WhatsApp when someone asks what you offer — or point traffic there until you’re ready to embed.

Same concierge either way — embed for people already on your site; hosted page as the link you can send.

You don’t have to pick only one.

Tell Lobby about your business

Add what you offer, the questions people usually ask, and how to reach you. Write offerings the way a client would recognize them — not brochure fluff. The clearer the brief, the sharper the guidance visitors get.

Also list what it must never claim: prices you don’t publish, promises you don’t make, services you don’t sell.

Boundaries and double-check

Every reply is checked against your sanctioned list. When Lobby doesn’t know, it says so and hands over your contact details. You stay the source of truth; the concierge doesn’t invent your business.

Fit guidance happens inside your boundaries — not open-ended improvisation. More on why that matters vs a generic widget: AI site concierge vs chatbot.

Go live and get lead emails

When a visitor finishes a conversation, you get an email: who they are, what they wanted, and a suggested reply. That’s the handoff — usable context, not a blank form submission.

Installing for a client?

Consultants and freelancers often start with the hosted page so the client has a shareable lobby.host/c/… link the same day — then add the embed when the client’s site is ready. Same concierge; no DNS change on their domain when you embed later.

If that’s you: AI site concierge for consultants. For clinics, studios, and trades: local services.

FAQ

How long does setup take?
Most owners create an account, fill offerings and boundaries, and publish a hosted page in one sitting. Embedding is pasting one script when you’re ready — no rebuild.
What counts as a conversation?
One visitor session, however many messages it contains. A visitor who asks eight questions is one conversation.
What happens when I hit the free limit?
Your page stays online. The concierge greets visitors, explains it’s at capacity, and shows your contact details, so nobody hits a dead end. The allowance resets at the start of the next month.
Can I cancel?
Yes, yourself, from your dashboard, with no email required. You go back to the free plan and its allowance. Your concierge stays online and keeps its setup.
Do I need a card to start?
No. The free plan needs an email address and nothing else.
Will AI assistants know about my business?
Yes, and that is the point. Every concierge publishes a plain-text summary of itself at lobby.host/c/your-business/llms.txt — your services, the questions you get asked, how to reach you, and a link to your concierge. That is the form ChatGPT and Claude can actually read when somebody asks them about a business like yours, and it is what they find instead of a page they have to guess at. It is not an upgrade: every plan gets it, including the free one, from the moment you publish. Read the playbook
Will this change my DNS or rankings?
No. The embed keeps your domain as-is. Hosted pages live at lobby.host/c/… and don’t require any DNS change to your site.
Is WebMCP required to use Lobby?
No. Lead capture for people is the main job. Optional WebMCP tools on the embed are early and still evolving; support varies. Agent discovery

In short

Lobby setup does not require a site rebuild. Owners add one script tag to their existing pages, publish a hosted concierge at lobby.host/c/their-slug, or do both — the two are the same concierge and are not alternatives. DNS and search rankings stay the same. They list offerings and hard boundaries; Lobby greets visitors, answers inside those limits, and emails leads. The free plan includes 20 conversations per month with no card required. Optional agent surfaces (llms.txt; WebMCP on the embed) are secondary and documented in Lobby’s guides.
